Tepatnya tanggal 5/4/11, WordPress telah merelease versi 3.1.1, berdasarkan info yang saya baca disini, WordPress telah memperbaiki beberapa security bug yang terdapat pada wordpress versi 3.1. Berikut list beberapa bug yang telah diperbaiki berdasarkan info situs resmi WordPress :

  • Some security hardening to media uploads
  • Performance improvements
  • Fixes for IIS6 support
  • Fixes for taxonomy and PATHINFO (/index.php/) permalinks
  • Fixes for various query and taxonomy edge cases that caused some plugin compatibility issues

Silahkan update WordPress Anda untuk performa dan security yang lebih baik lagi. Unggah WordPress 3.1.1 atau update langsung melalui Dashboard ? Menu Update di WordPress Admin anda.

Pesan tersebut diatas muncul biasanya setelah kita melakukan update core, biasanya memang jarang terjadi, namun sebagian user mengeluhkan sering terjadi. Hal ini bisa jadi muncul karena update plugin atau core WP yang gagal, misalnya file update tidak ditemukan atau gagal mendownload ke server hosting WordPress.

Pesan tersebut tentu saja sangat mengganggu apalagi jika anda sudah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menghilangkannya seperti melakukan update ulang atau pun update otomatis ulang, namun pesan tersebut masih saja muncul halaman Dashboard WordPress.

Untuk menghilangkan pesan “An Automated WordPress Update Has Failed to Complete – Please Attempt the Update Again Now” yang sering muncul tersebut, sebenarnya tidak perlu melakukan install plugin sana – sini, yang perlu anda lakukan adalah cukup dengan mengahpus 1 file yang menyebabkan pesan tersebut muncul dan mengganggu anda.

Caranya silakan hapus (delete) file .maintenance yang terdapat di root atau direktori tempat Anda menghinstall/meletakkan file WordPress Anda.

Iseng – iseng browsing ke google wp turbo nemu deh beberapa link yang inti nya install Google Gears.


Agar WP-Admin bisa diakses dengan cepat, pasang Google Gears di browser, lalu aktifkan fasilitas Turbo di panel admin

QuickPress
QuickPress is a new feature that provides the ability to start (or publish) a simple post from the Dashboard when you don’t need the full feature set of the Add New Post screen. Currently, these posts can contain title, text, media and tags. In 2.8 we hope to make the module configurable, so that each user can decide which few fields make the most sense to display. If you Save as Draft, you will see the new draft appear in the Recent Drafts module right away. Clicking Cancel will clear the form. Publish publishes the post. Posts made using QuickPress are the same as other posts and may be editing by going to Posts > Edit and selecting the post in question. One last thing: both in this module and on the Add New post screen, we’ve put as much space as possible between the Save Draft and Publish buttons, so for all of you who’ve asked at WordCamps or emailed or posted somewhere to request this, ta da! Hopefully this will reduce accidental publications.
